จบลงแล้ว! สำหรับหนึ่งในอีเวนต์ประกาศเกียรติคุณ Golden Joystick Awards 2024 (ครั้งที่ 42) ที่มีการประกาศรางวัลไปครบทั้ง 24 สาขาแล้ว โดยเกมที่คว้ารางวัลสูงสุดในอีเวนต์นี้ คือ FINAL FANTASY VII: REBIRTH และ HELLDIVERS 2 โดย FINAL FANTASY VII: REBIRTH คว้ารางวัลกลับบ้านไปถึง 4 รางวัล จากทั้งหมด 7 สาขาที่ได้รับการเสนอชื่อ!

ในขณะเดียวกัน HELLDIVERS 2 ก็คว้ารางวัลมาได้ 3 จาก 5 หมวดที่ได้รับการเสนอชื่อ ได้แก่ เกมมัลติเพลเยอร์ยอดเยี่ยม (Best Multiplayer Game), ตัวอย่างเกมยอดเยี่ยม (Best Game Trailer), และ เกมคอนโซลแห่งปี (Console Game of the Year) รวมถึงรางวัลอันทรงเกียรติอย่าง Critics’ Choice Award

ส่วนผู้เข้าชิงรายใหญ่อย่าง Astro BOT ก็ได้รับ 2 รางวัล ได้แก่ การออกแบบเสียงยอดเยี่ยม (Best Audio Design) และ สตูดิโอแห่งปี (Studio of the Year) สำหรับทีมพัฒนา Team Asobi!

รางวัลสูงสุด Ultimate Game of the Year ตกเป็นของ Black Myth: Wukong ซึ่งถือเป็นความสำเร็จของ Game Science ผู้พัฒนาเกมคอนโซลหน้าใหม่ นอกจากนี้ สตูดิโอนี้ยังคว้ารางวัล การออกแบบภาพยอดเยี่ยม (Best Visual Design) ไปอีกด้วย

สำหรับกลุ่มเกมอินดี้ Balatro คว้ารางวัลมาได้ถึง 2 หมวด ในขณะที่ Another Crab’s Treasure, Lethal Company, และ Chained Together ต่างก็ได้รับรางวัลเช่นกัน!
